Soulful Storytelling

Carefully crafted stories, emails, messages and sales pages for soulful entrepreneurs

Whether you are a boutique hotelier in Costa Rica, a ceremonialist based in Austin, or a soul-led entrepreneur traveling around rural Italy, you know that sharing your true story—and all of its magic—is essential to connect with your community.

I have a vast background in heart-centered storytelling for super impactful brands and communities. I’d love to help you tell your story through engaging emails, stunning sales pages, or impactful web pages.

Hi, I’m Maggie Battista. I’ve written two books, numerous essays, hundreds of emails, and thousands of bite-size stories for 15+ years in the spaces of well-being, travel, hospitality, collective care, nourishment, and start-up business.

I’ve coached hundreds of makers and small businesses on branding, storytelling, abundance, and growth. But I am more than that. Through ten years of shamanic study, I designed a practice to dialogue, heal, and manifest with the soul’s voice, the calm and all-knowing wisdom and language that surfaces from within when you get quiet and listen.

I now partner with soul-led entrepreneurs to elevate consciousness by offering strategic messaging, magical stories, and enriching emails from this language of love buried deep within.

I skillfully match up intrinsic motivations with innate desires to ensure your people remember your ever-lasting messages in the ephemeral space where they meet you.

My captivating stories are designed to uplift your brand’s nurture sequences, weekly newsletters, or even your social media. I’ve spoken to audiences from the cozy to the millions, and maintain an email list of 4,500 creatives, visionaries, leaders, and healers.

If needed, I can also design your brand messaging strategy, ideal client avatar with key stories, and touch points across the user experience. I look forward to supporting all of your conscious business growth.

Please be in touch to discuss availability and rates.

This month, we're featuring a series of stories by storyteller @mizmaggieb who stayed with us this Fall.

“Years before I traveled to McMinnville, I had a dream that I was up on a mountaintop looking out toward a distant blue sea. I was certain that I'd find this place and perhaps settle down there.

During my stay at Olive & Vine Guesthouse, I kept feeling that I'd find this view somewhere in and around McMinnville. I drove everywhere hoping to catch a glimpse similar to my dream.

I even drove 2.5 hours up north to Astoria, Oregon (a seaside town made famous by the 1985 film "The Goonies" written by Steven Spielberg) and took the scenic way back home along the coast, taking a sharp left in Pacific City to wind my way back to McMinnville through bright green pastures.

I looked everywhere for the view from my dream. And it wasn't until I visited @fairsingvineyard (planted high in Oregon’s Coast Range foothills) that I saw something akin to my dream.

Sipping wine while strolling through the vineyard's labyrinth, I tilted my head up to see the mountains all around me, all of them in various shades of deep blue. Squint and it could certainly look like the sea.

Now, I'm not sure if the vineyard is the place of (my) dreams but the wine certainly is. And after a few ounces of red, the mountains may certainly look like the sea to you, too. Either way, don't miss this spot.”

For Olive & Vine Guest House in Oregon, USA

  • “Hello there. It's me, Maggie.

After 7 years, I finally returned to McMinnville, Oregon, a place that holds sweet memories of hazelnut harvests, super fresh produce and downtown strolls filled with twinkly lights.

I arrived at Olive & Vine in total darkness after a 45-min drive from Portland Airport. And, gosh, when I woke in the morning, I was gifted with some sun light and this view of the guest house.

Vintage and modern at once, Olive & Vine had everything I needed for my arrival, including a hot bath in a clawfoot tub, local (decaf) coffee, and sourdough toast with marionberry jam - because mornings are just better with those things, right?

I wasn't sure what I would do on my first day, besides adjust to the time change, but friends whisked me away to @macmkt for more coffee (🙏) and we had an early chili dinner before I sunk into my bed back at the guest house.

Almost too at home in the silky sheets, I forgot where I was when I woke the next morning. But once I remembered that I was on the left coast (the best coast?!), all felt right with the world. I was exactly where I was meant to be.

Over this series of posts, I'll share stories and messages that helped me remember that this trip was perfectly orchestrated for my unfolding purpose and joy.”

  • “While I generally ate breakfast in the Olive & Vine guest house kitchen, mainly because it was so well equipped (hello, baking drawers!?) and had such great light. My soft-boiled eggs never looked so good.

However, I did walk just a few blocks to downtown for breakfast a couple times and twice (yes, twice!), I had breakfast at @communityplate - a restaurant that has graced downtown McMinnville with all-day breakfast for 12 years.

My butternut squash sandwich was perfect, tender, savory and candy-like. Can more chefs please put squash in sandwiches, pretty please?!

However, the other star of this plate was the huge pile of greens. I've eaten from farms all over the world but greens in Oregon just hit different; they're sweet and crisp and taste like a spring garden (even in the fall). This pile was no exception.

Alas, say it ain't so, Joe, but @communityplate is closing this month after serving this community with wholesome food for more than a decade.

Given this news, I was so glad to enjoy two breakfasts there. It's like my soul knew I needed to soak it all up before the end as well as return home with a desire to stick tender squash slices in all my dishes.”

  • “I'm not gonna lie to you. It rained a lot while I was in Oregon. The rainy season had just begun so I was prepared, with layers and weather-proof hiking boots. And despite the rain, I ventured outside frequently!

Oh sure, there were moments when the sun presented itself and, gosh, you treasure those moments. In fact, one day, a friend and I visited @durant_oregon (a wine tasting room, olive mill & nursery in the Dundee Hills) while it was raining.

The rain didn't cramp our olive oil and wine time. We sipped and chatted and created some lovely new memories. And as soon as we drove down the mountain, the skies opened up to offer patches of blue sky and this perfect glimpse of sunshine.

I'm not sure how I captured it on camera but I welcomed it as a little blessing on our time together and how we were exactly where we were meant to be, then and always.

I'm not going to lie to you about this other thing, too: I bought A LOT of olive oil!

Sure, it was very good olive oil but/and/also I wanted to relive the memory over and over again once back home.”

Hi, I’m Maggie Battista and I am the bridge. I’m a multifaceted entrepreneur and award-winning author who heard my soul and ancestors speak through profound personal loss and intuitive activation.

I am an accomplished entrepreneur, impactful storyteller, and guided ritualist who now bridges dimensions and will never again forget that I’m a soul having a human experience.

I’ve coached hundreds of makers and small businesses on branding, storytelling, abundance, and growth. But I am more than that.

Through ten years of shamanic study, I designed a practice to dialogue, process, heal, and manifest with the Soul’s Voice, the calm and all-knowing wisdom and language that surfaces from within when you get quiet and listen.

I offer strategic messaging, stories, and rich writing from this language of love buried deep within.

I speak from this soul frequency to help you connect and share your gifts with your people. I want to help you help them let in all the love, abundance, and compassion so they may ultimately do big new things with ease.

A Statement on My Style

I have redesigned my approach to business and storytelling in a way that centers wholeness, receptivity, and softness.

Instead of scarcity, I center abundance. Instead of forcing, I allow ease. Instead of hustle, I value coherence. Instead of feeling uncertain, I invite you into self-trust.

I use analytics to assess patterns and understand energy but I make meaning instinctually. I use my emotional awareness to transform teams. I hold space for all to feel safe and thrive.

Over the course of my life, I’ve launched some of the first internet start-ups; built engaged communities of millions; designed intentional brands, including an award-winning retail brand; and operated travel & hospitality businesses here and in France. I’ve raised funds for organizations and people in crisis and written two books on nourishment. I have presciently pursued the bleeding edges of new technologies that became essential to a thriving life.

I believe that connection within, to your soul, will be your most valuable currency in the new paradigm. It’s time to allow your soul to lead your life, work, and art.

I’d love to bring my style, experience, and wisdom to fostering your soul’s emergence.
